The holiday season's over and 2020 is already in full swing. We're excited about what this year will bring to the city and surrounding areas, so read on to find out what's new at the PWCVB and with you, our partners.

PWCVB UPDATES

Providence Restaurant Weeks is cooking up fabulous deals now through January 25. With nearly 100 restaurants participating, you should start browsing menus and skip cooking dinner for a while. Be sure to enter our contest giving away tickets to "Fiddler on the Roof" at PPAC and a gift card to The Capital Grille.

The PWCVB has begun promoting Valentine's Day and February Vacation with dedicated web pages featuring events and more. Be sure to add your events to our online calendar. It may take up to seven days for your event to be posted on our website.

Don't miss the PWCVB's next Partner Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the Providence Marriott Downtown from 3:30–5 p.m., where our Vice President of Sales & Services Tom Riel will be speaking.

Finally, the Visitors Center has recently undergone some organizational changes to be more closely aligned with Convention Services. Both will now be led under a single umbrella by Erin Degulis, senior director of convention & visitor services. Additional staffing changes included Kara Theriault moving into a new role as visitor center manager and Convention Services Coordinator Brittany Campo joining our staff last fall. PARTNER NEWS

Ice Bumper Header

The BankNewport City Center is one of three places in the country to feature these bumper cars that operate on ice. Each ride lasts 15 minutes and costs $12 ($15 on the full rink). The bumper cars run at the same time as regular ice skating, so don't worry about not being able to skate at the rink. Check here for hours before giving it a whirl.

Many of our hotel partners are participating in Hotel Week RI, the state's first hotel week. This 14-day promotion runs from Jan. 18–31 and features flat rates of just $100, $200, $300 and $400 per night! It's the perfect excuse to book a quick staycation and explore new parts of home.
